: : : : My Mom has been diagnosed with exema, and it's driving her crazy, especially the itching.
: : : : doctor gave her some cream and some type of spray.
: : : : anyone have any ideas on what to use for the itching? The stuff the doctor gave her is not working real well.
: : : : The rash keeps reappearing in other places on her body. Where does it come from?what is the cause.
: : : : thanks for the response

: : : She should tell the doc that the cream is not helping. there are several on the market.
: : : I do know benedryl helps with iching. There is a generic over the counter pill to take. It can make you sleepy! You can break it in half. But, call the doc.....see if there is another cream she can try.....sometimes if your doc has them....ask for a sample! Then you do not have to spend $ on something that does not work :)
: : : Good luck

: : Forgot.......she could have shingles. My mom had this. It is awful, and sometimes painful. Look it up on the www

: I'm 19 years old and I was diagnosised with facial exema. I've been treating it for over 3 months now and it's still spreading. If anyone can tell me what causes it or what helps to heal it I would greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone knows the name of a good doctor in the NY area for exema, please give me their name.
I was told today by a doctor that I have exema also. Call me crazy, but one thing that I have tried is ChapStick. And it works for me. The waxy residue keeps it from drying out, which seems to be what is causing the itch. It couldn't hurt to try.
