: : : : : My Mom has been diagnosed with exema, and it's driving her crazy, especially the itching.
: : : : : doctor gave her some cream and some type of spray.
: : : : : anyone have any ideas on what to use for the itching? The stuff the doctor gave her is not working real well.
: : : : : The rash keeps reappearing in other places on her body. Where does it come from?what is the cause.
: : : : : thanks for the response

: : : : She should tell the doc that the cream is not helping. there are several on the market.
: : : : I do know benedryl helps with iching. There is a generic over the counter pill to take. It can make you sleepy! You can break it in half. But, call the doc.....see if there is another cream she can try.....sometimes if your doc has them....ask for a sample! Then you do not have to spend $ on something that does not work :)
: : : : Good luck

: : : Forgot.......she could have shingles. My mom had this. It is awful, and sometimes painful. Look it up on the www

: : I'm 19 years old and I was diagnosised with facial exema. I've been treating it for over 3 months now and it's still spreading. If anyone can tell me what causes it or what helps to heal it I would greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone knows the name of a good doctor in the NY area for exema, please give me their name.
: A couple of months ago I saw a 12 year old girl on Good Morning America, she was the daughter of a doctor. She has had exema all of her life and her parents had taken her all over the country to search for something to relieve the terrible itching...they found a cream that is not approved yet but will be shortly...the girl said after using the cream she was able to actually sleep a full night for the first time that she could remember in her life!!!!My problem is I did not write the name of the cream down and thought I could just go to Good Morning Ameerica's web site to find out but so far I haven't had any luck. Did anyone else see the show and know what I am talking abou...if so PLEESE send me the info or help me locate it froom the show. THANK YOU...................... I am 43 yrs. old and have had eczema for about about 12 years. I get it the worst in the winter because I live in Oregon and the air becomes cold and dry that time of year. Last year in October I starting taking a supplement called OPC and B-12 and in aprox. three months the eczema disappeared completely! Now that we are into the fall/winter I noticed that I have a little but not nearly what I have had in the past. It is a huge relief. Having eczema to me is like pins poking into your skin all over the place and making you itch like crazy. I used to itch my skin until it bled...it was horrible. If you want more information e-mail me and I can send information to you. Trish Mather
