: : I am 38 years old soon to be 39. For ten years my PVC's (skipped beat and palpitations) had gotten worse with each pregnancy. I have been on and off of Sectral 200 mgs. 2x a day for years. The last time I was on medicine was 1999 and I have been relatively fine. Maybe a skip beat here and there but nothing to get me on medicine. The last two weeks they have been completely controlling my life. The medicine won't work anymore so it was switched to Lopressor 50 mgs 2x's a day. This does not seem to be working well either. I sleep in my car in the hospital parking lot because I am so scared that I am going to have a heart attack. I cannot even walk up a flight of steps. I don't understand how all of a sudden they just got this bad and nothing works. EKG's Echocardiograms, Blood Work, and Chest Xray were all normal. My husband feels sorry for me but he thinks I can calm them down if I really want to. He gets frustrated with me at times because he thinks I can control them to some degree. I am so scared and I think I am going to die. I am a religious person and I pray all the time. Incidentally, I have never had a drink in my life, not even a beer. Never used any kind of drugs or anything illegal.Everything I have touched for the last 10 years have been caffeine free. I was exercising the night they got bad for only five minutes. I have not been normal since. No family history of heart disease. I understand how you guys feel. I have not been sleep for three days straight. They wake me right up. It has got to get better. I cannot function at work or anything. They have never been this bad.
