Mr. "Twenty inch lover" wrote (now, how credible is that?!):
: everyone that is bitching has either been doing something they have been told not to or has "got it all figured out" in 2 days or 2 weeks...youre pathetic...i also joined the "scam" company and also began to rack up bills etc....thats when i decided to listen to those who were more successful than myself, quit wining, making excuses and decided to get to work...i completed the training program and while it was the hardest thing i have ever done, i proved to everyone that it is possible. simply put..THOSE WHO WORK THE HARDEST GO THE FURTHEST...thank you to kenneth bond, doug zirbel, and of course larry hahn....if you have nothing to hide let this email stand untampered and let each individual decide how far they are willing to go...
I was in the program too (back in 1997), and even made it to EO ('Executive Owner'). In fact, I trained from Doug and Amy Su's office in San Diego. And during my time there I've seen so many good people get dissed and pissed on my Doug (especially) that it made me sick. For example, the groups are normally sent out in pairs and during my first few weeks in the program I remember my 'trainer' working his ass off like a headless chicken to make sales. He walked so much and fast and talked with so many people. Yet, one has one of those days in which one doesn't make any sales. I, on the other hand, 'dropped' (i.e. sold) about three bottles of perfume. When we got back to the office, Doug was *so* pissed at this guy (his name was Marcus, in case you wanted to know) that he *fired him* in front of everyone. I couldn't believe it! And Marcus was also an EO; he was at the "Jr" level. I tried to tell Doug that I was with Marcus and that he did work very hard. The response I got was that "If he were working, his bag should have been empty by now." In short, if you're not selling, you're not working--never mind the *effort* that you've actually put in.
I eventually saw this as a hopeless dream and pursued further education in graduate school. Sure, some people do make it. But given all the people that try out for this company, some *have* to (e.g. on a purely statistical basis). That's hardly comforting, though, to someone who's really looking for a good (or feasible) opportunity to make it. You'd be about as likely to get rich by playing the lottery, or trying to be a contestant on a game show like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"
Have I ever regretted my decision? Not in the least. Am I bitter against the company and Doug and Amy Su? Not at all. They have a right to make a living too, and I think it's great that at least *they've* made it. But do I think that Scentura Creations really offers a "good" (i.e. very feasible and probable) opportunity for one to become rich? Not in the least.
