: : : : : : I too was slammed by Damark. I got a membership two years ago. Then I cancelled it last year when it went up for renewal. That membership was about $49. Then, this year, on the second anniversary, they charged me again, but this time with a Deluxe membership that cost me $79.95. plus a $4 membership fee. I got the phone number from my bank. Every debit charge has a phone number next to it. I called and cancelled and she said they could only "pro-rate" it and she couldn't reimburse the membership fee. B.S.!!!!!

I have started a research for information for any and all individuals that this has happened to in hopes of starting a Class Action Lawsuit against Damark, Int. In doing this research, I could get no one to give me a physical address or a phone number...I continued my search and have discovered that Damark, International is now operating under Provell, Inc. I have the name of the President of the company Mr. George Richards and this is the phone number: 952-258-2000 their address is: 301 Carlson Pkwy Ste. 201, Minneapolis, MN 55305 Fax # 952-258-2100. I encourage everyone who has been defrauded by Damark to please email me with the details of your account with Damark.....Name, address, phone number, date of fraud, amount....maybe we can put an end to their fraudelent practices and be compensated for our trouble. She ordered nothing extra,...all of a sudden on 4/8/02, $104.99 was charged to our card for "gas rebates"...completely unauthorized...Provell/Damark put me thru to a recorded cancellation set up,...was told my money will be refunded in 1-2 months.

I believe i have been scammed also!! Today i recieved a charge on my account for $104.98 for something i don't remember purchasing. i called the 800 number and talked to a girl and she answered the phone "Budget Savers" the same name that appeared on my account. she told me that back in 2001 i had supposedly authorized a charge for "gas rebates". i told her that i would have never done such a thing and she then sent me to an automated cancellation service. they told me that if they couldn't reproduce a recorded copy of my authorization that i would be refunded my money times two. so i would be getting back something like $210. This story sounds really familar to the one i read above. I can't recall ordering anything off the tv except for about 5 years ago...You know it's kinda funny, my charge was $104.98 and the person above was charged $104.99 for the same thing (gas rebates)
