On our 45th anniversary
-- by Marian Hopp -- Copyright 1996 -- maribob@riverview.net

For forty-five years
Thru thick and thru thin;
We've known lots of joy
Learning to look within.

Now there's a family
Of our own, what a group!
When there's pain and sorrow
You'd think we're a troop!

Friendship grows between us
With love ever deeper
We seek new ways of relating
Our marriage, even sweeter.

God has been faithful to His promises
He's in control, He knows what's best
Whatever is left to have with each other
One day at a time, in Him we will rest.

Poem from my book:
Hopp To Hope: A Journal of Recovery by Marian Hopp.
Poems written while recovering from five years of bouts with cancer.
