I Lost All My Ambition
-- by William G. Lyon -- Copyright 1997 -- lyon0013@inquo.net

All of my "Get Up And Go" has just got up and went,
And "My Poor Aching Back", is now real tired and bent,
All my Enthusiasm has gone, it just left me and flew,
Just like an Old Horse, waiting to be ground up for glue.

My feet they are aching, and my Hands are so tired,
I just lost all of my ambition, and my energy expired.
If I don't find some new energy, I'll surely get fired,
For indeed no lazy man to a job did ever get hired.

No need to look for more Energy, no more to be had,
By the look on my face, I'm sure no one will be glad.
My last days on this earth, now have surely been spent,
Because all "My Get Up And Go" just got up and went.
