Angel Snow
-- by Daniel Parks - Copyright 1999 -- sheila.kaye@juno.com

Silent snowflakes drifting down,
tiny angels in white gowns.
Little children laugh and play,
on a snowy winter's day.

Rosy cheeks by snowflakes kissed,
by the snowflake's angel lips.
While the children, unaware,
brush the snow flakes from their hair.

Icy streets and snowy hills,
covered once by daffodils,
Now with children sliding down,
every slope and hill in town.

Funny snow men standing guard,
made by children in each yard,
While the children, round them play,
hoping they'll not melt away.

The frozen lake down at the park,
where lover's stroll and skaters lark.
These winter scenes will ever be,
forever etched in memory.

Soon warming winds will start to blow,
and melt away the angel snow.
Once snowy hills and winter's lace,
bright daffodils will take their place.
