The Form of Autum
-- by Mary Lee Clay -- Copyright 1996
Sent by Darby Clay-- jpc@hutchtel.net

The form begins
As autumn spins
And shifting sun deceives.

It once alights
With blackbird flights,
Whirls on with blowing leaves.

It stops to test
A vacant nest
As evening cancels dawn...

And shows, again,
The regimen
Of living, come and gone.
