Bank Fever
-- by John T. Baker - Copyright 1999 -- JTB8817@aol.com

The Asian flu has struck commerce
Severely in Japan;
The crisis now is getting worse,
The chit has hit the fan.

The Origami Bank, we hear,
Has folded, sad to say;
The Sumo Bank, it would appear,
Went belly-up today.

The Bonsai Bank will now curtail
Its branches none too strong;
The Karaoke Bank's for sale
And going for a song.

The Kamikaze Bank has gone
Into a steep nose dive;
Its operators have withdrawn,
Unlikely to survive.

Employees at Karate Bank
All fear they'll get the chop;
The Fujiyama Bank just sank;
The tremors fail to stop.

There's something fishy going on
At Sushi Bank, we feel,
With all the staff now overdrawn,
Expecting some raw deal.
