Bivouac
-- by J.Munro -- Copyright 1996

They march down at night single file
With a purpose and a style,
Bringing spoils and piling it high.
Their bivouac is well supplied.

The army invades distant territories.
Crossing rivers, streams and tributories.
Weapons are adequate, cutting is severe,
Keep away from their snare.

One single confrontation may bring much pain.
Keep alert and watchful, there are others in the train.
They come out in evening when it turns grey,
Get ready to attack---------------with a can of spray.
