The Butcher says that hens don't cry,
since they never shed a tear.
He says that they, all pain deny,
and have no time to suffer fear.

The Butcher says his birds can't fly,
he grabs them when they squat,
not proved because they never try,
and end up in a stewing pot!

The Butcher says they're dumb, not I,
to replace each egg as shed.
Pass on their genes they patient try,
with eggs they lay while still un-bred.

The Butcher says they painless die
because, of course, they never cry!
