Turn Back The Clock
-- by Gerald Bosacher Copyright 1998 -- DrWryme@aol.com

My Filet de Bouef I'd gladly trade
for just one slice like Mother made
of fresh baked bread with marmalade,
that seemed back then so common grade
If I could just turn back the clock.

I'd give away my horse and tack
and all my trophies, I'd glad re-pack
away to climb on Daddy's back
and giddy up around our pretend track,
If I could just turn back the clock

Expensive barbers tend my hair
but I would be less debonair
and Mother's haircut happy wear,
my friend's comments gladly bear,
If I could just turn back the clock.

Designer Suits now seem a bore
compared to those my brothers wore
and I impatient waited for,
and would gladly wear once more,
If I could but turn back the clock.
