It's Confusing
-- by William G. Lyon -- Copyright 1997 -- lyon0013@inquo.net

It's sure mighty Confusing to get up in the Morning,
With the Sun shinning, then it rains without warning.
With the flowers blooming, the grass it's so green,
While off in the distance, fresh snow can be seen.

It thought it was Springtime, it's that time of year,
The weatherman must be confused, for this I do fear.
All the trees start their budding, and soon wil be out,
This cold weather just fills, my big toe with the Gout.

We just mowed the lawn, the Grass Clippings are gone,
It's back to Winter time, with more snow on the lawn.
Yes, all our late Summer Fruit, it sure may be Frozen,
I thought by now, that the darn Wintertime was Dozing.

Yes, it's sure confusing, and indeed not very amusing,
While the the frost keeps abusing, the summer is snoozing.
All our beautiful Flowers are now frozen and half wilted,
I think that of the Seasons, our summer has been jilted.
