Daydream
-- by C. Rose - Copyright 1999 -- hq@peregrineent.com

Here in my daydream
life is a sweet dream
quietly passing - going nowhere.

Reflecting the night’s moon
playing a soft tune
easing down - soothing my cares.

And your memory
is like that stream to me
it weaves slowly through my mind.

And your voice it
was like sweet music
on my ears and I find

That I’m wishing to awaken
and find I’m mistaken
that my dream really has come true

That it’s not the stream I hear
but that you’re standing near
and the music sweet music is you.
