The Cravin'

Once upon a midday dreary, while I net-surfed weak and bleary
Over many a bookmarked pile of U-R-L's galore --
While I plodded, lightly typing, suddenly there came a griping
As of someone sniping, sniping at me from my office door --
"Tis my wife, no doubt" I muttered "griping,
griping at my office door"-
"come to lunch and nothing more!"
Think it may have been September, or it could have been November
But I'm sure I do remember. It was E-mail I was looking for.
Eagerly I logged my Startpage; then my mouse I did engage.
Nearly broke into a rage, looking for my E-mail score ---
Only this and nothing more.
To each friend and family member, E-mail letters sent I four.
News I wrote and thoughts so tender. But my mail they did ignore.
There I was; my heart was broken. Still to me so few have spoken.
Nothing in my In-box came; not the smallest little token.
Still was empty; nothing more.
Then by chance I clicked on SENIORS;
kindred souls there by the score.
Logged on Pen Pals, sent them E-mails. Now I get them more and more---
Lonely SENIORS NEVERMORE !
