Hold on to My Hand Son
And We Will Travel Together
Though this World Which Is Good
As You Will See
Look Far as You Gaze
And Never Mind the Weather

“Cause, We Will Walk Straight and Strong
Just You and Me
Look Yonder, Look’s like a Rocky Road
But Pay it No Mind Son
We’ll Just Take Another
And It’ll Be Alright When We Get Done

You Say You Are Ten
And Know Things You Can Tell Me
Ok, I’ll Listen
As We Sit under this Old Tree

I Know the Sun Will Rise
Just after the Dawn, You Say
I Know Tomorrow Will Bring Sunshine
As We Awaken and Look Just Any Old Way

I Know I Will Be Happy
Walking this Old World with You
There Are So Many Things You Will Show Me
That to Me Are Brand New

There Will Come a Day When I Will Travel
Alone So I’ve Been Told
And When That Day Comes, I Know I Will Be Ready
Thanks to You and the Lord

Also Son, Never Forget a Word
That Will Live in Your Mind Forever
The Word Is “Hope” and Without it Failure Is Sure
In Endeavor after Endeavor

Always Remember the Word
And Remember What I Have Told
“Hope” as Someone Once Said
Is the Anchor of the Soul
