First And Last Kiss
-- by John Fall - Copyright 1999 -- jkf@omen.net.au

Daffy Down Dilly
you do look silly in your braces -
if you know what I mean.
But your eyes are so blue
and I love you so true
I’ll be your king,
if you’ll be my queen.

Last night I kissed you
and today, how I’ve missed you
and every minute and hour in between.
Our tender embrace
set my heart in a race
although you’re only sixteen.

Daffy Down Dilly
My Daffy Down Dilly
I love you so.
Be mine.

Oh, Daffy Down Dilly
Don’t think me silly
to shed these tears over you
We shared life together
through storm and fine weather
and our love always shone through

But now that I kiss you,
on the brow -
Oh, how I miss you -
you are gone from me now
Forever.

Daffy Down Dilly
My own, dear Daffy Down Dilly
I will love you so -
Forever.
