-- by Glad Schwesinger -- Copyright 1997 -- Pglad@cnw.com A young couple came to the saturday night dance. Beginner dancers but eager to learn. They did very well and soon were a pleasure to watch as they went round the floor. Hope this poem will explain some of this fine human emotion.
As they dance together, step glide and whirl With musical beat so fast, or a rhythm slow Each with graceful step, in unison they go
A sparkle in the eye, a look of love serene
Courtship can start with a dance of just two
Among all gods creatures I see no other pair
