To Our Daugthter
-- by Kenneth Crew -- Copyright 1997 -- kcrew@wincom.net

Passing of years we wish we could slow.
For us we don't have that many to go.
We like to think of times in the past.
Good times we knew they would never last.

I'm talking of the many hwppy a day.
Prior to the time you went away.
Out into the world went venturesome you,
So now the days we see you are so few.

You will always be in our mind.
To you, we hope the future is kind.
Always remember we are still here.
We still miss you, to us you are so dear.

To you life as been no easy task.
That's why good fortune for you we ask.
There is a saying, rewards along this path of life,
Are always equal to the struggle and strife.

Another saying you should know,
What you reap is what you sow.
Keep trying to be always good and kind.
Happiness will be the reward you find.

Just have a thought for those you left.
Of your company we feel bereft.
We both wish you the best from afar.
You are special we know you are.
