Diamonds On The Water
-- by David A. Vaughan Copyright 1998 -- davida@midtenn.net

Diamonds on the water
Are a sight beyond compare,
As the sunlight sends its ray-ments
Beaming through thr air.

Combine them with light breezes
There'll be sparkles everywhere
Dancing on the wavelets
I just have to stop and stare.

If only one could gather
All those sparkles as they glow,
I almost need sunglasses
They make such a brilliant show.

I'm surely not a rich man
And I guess I never will
'Cause those diamonds on the water
Will never pay a bill,
But those diamonds on the water...
Surely are my richest thrill!
