Distance Far Away
-- by Duc Le -- Copyright 1996 -- dle101@lausd.k12.ca.us

Sitting alone in my dusty room
The night is cold without you here
But in my mind you're somewhere near
I longed to hold you tight my dear.

Under the full moon I make a wish
To make this night become a bliss
For you and me I truly insist
Because you are the one I really miss.

My darling where are you now?
Are you somewhere feeding the fowl?
From this moment I'll make my vow
That 'I love you,' I'd say out loud.

Sometimes I wonder if you like me
Sometimes I reckon upon your beauty
Sometimes I deny this reality
For you love me in my fantasy.

Please stay with me and be happy
But please don't cheat and then you leave
Being bound to you, I'm willing to be risky
Just to live with you until eternity.

My life is destined to be with you
My love is meant for it to be true
There is only one thing I'm sure to conclude
That there is no one else for me but you.

Your wish is my command tonight
Just tell me what you dream in life
And I will try to make it right
Because you are my brightest light.
