The Doctor
-- by Bernard Gluck - Copyright 1999 -- bgluck@earthlink.net

"Doc" I said, "I'm feeling sick.
You think I might get worse?"
Doctor said, "I can't tell yet
First let me feel your purse."
-------------
"Doc, my child just swallowed a pen
What do you think I should do?"
"Use a PENCIL now my dear;
That's my advice to you."
-------------
"Doc, my every bone, they hurt;
It's almost beyond bearing."
Doc replies, "Be grateful Dear

That you are not a herring."
-------------
Doc, my fever's up a point
That doesn't speak so well.
You left a message on my phone
The message said to "SELL!"
-------------
That ointment makes my arm to smart
Let's try some way instead.
So doctor says, "Instead of that
Just rub some on your head!"
