Ebbing Sands
-- by Ellen Fair - Copyright 1996 -- fairelle@gte.net

Give thanks for life, Lady Fair
Do not lie and crumble there
God has been so good to you
Quality gifts, be they few

Nourished love in your youth
The future, then, you hardly knew
The glass of time, in Loving Hands
Filled inside with golden sands

Ebbing sands, aching hearts
Crumbling lives, brand new starts
Friends who love and sing new grace
Rolled in truth and fond embrace

Whispers warm, rushing heart
Calm winds blowing, rivers part
One goes east, one goes west
The Lady loves them both the best
