Fairy Tale
-- by Glad Schwesinger -- Copyright 1997 -- Pglad@cnw.com

Once upon a time
In the land of the sublime
Lived a maiden fair
With lovely golden hair

She sat upon a throne
She sat there all alone
When a hiccup she felt start
From just below the heart

She did a violent jump
She landed with a thump
The old board broke
Such a mighty poke

Oh the terrable pain
She will never be the same
Now how to tell how to show
Who should see who should know

Nights are long with pain
Days are much the same
She has a Doctor and a Nurse
It could be much worse

In her bed she must lay
Stay there night and day
Many of her freinds call
They ask how are you all

We have not seen you hon
Are you feeling on the bum
What shall she tell
Oh I am not well

What can the matter be
I had this hiccup you see
Hurt me pretty bad
Hurt everything I had

Doctor says with a laugh
You have the Prettyitis Lass
And a sore tailbone
From sitting on the throne

Wonderful news has spread
Announcement has been read
Prince charming has come home
No more to war will he roam

He hears you were ill
Says he surely will
Love and comfort you this day
What's that you say, go away
GO AWAY !
