So Who Is Fooled
-- by Gerald Bosacker - Copyright 1998 -- Bosacker@aol.com

Do salesmen know the lies they tell
will seldom fool potential buyer,
but all the folks he cannot sell
are too polite to call him liar.

Do buyers tell car salesmen true
condition of their trade in car,
but fail to list the work that's due
and mask with paint a rust through scar.

We tell our kids to never lie
yet when we duck unwanted task
by quick excuse we smooth supply
with fibs that do, our motives mask.
