A friend will stand by your side
with sustaining comfort and protection
when all the world seems to turn against you.
A friend will give you food and drink
when you have none.
A friend will open their door to you when
you need shelter.
The only thing more valuable
than having a friend
is the great satisfaction of being
A Friend.
I am retired and have time to help with worthy projects and do consider myself qualified to help people learn to better express themselves poetically. I do favor rhyme but do some free verse, and prose.
