I don't care what you call 'em; I just rhyme my "goofy" rhymes!
'Don't know "metaphors" from manholes - or meters from their "iambs".
'Don't know "couplets"; 'don't know "triplets", or "iambic pentameter",
They just rattle the addled brain of this geriatric amateur!
A "quatrain's" a French "hoe-down". "Trochees"? Cough drops to me!
"Anapests" are "plain-fold" bretheran here in my locality!
"Dactryls" were flying reptiles, among the dinosaurs of old.
"Villanelle" was a Mexican "bad guy" (Or so I have been told)!
A "palindome's" a camel. Of course, "tenor' is a singer.
An "accentual syllabic meter"? Now THAT's a real "HUM-DINGER"!
I don't use those "run on" lines - (Is this baseball or "Poetry"}?!
And my "Platoon formation" stanzas march in RIGID symetry!
I don't know about "persona", so I can't write an "ode" of 'sonnet".
But I WILL keep right on writing! You can bet your "BOOTY" on it!
I know you all us "cuss" words for this "crap" that I compose -
It ain't "poetry" - it ain't "proper", but it GOTTA be "NON-PROSE"!
