Giving All
-- by Daniel Parks - Copyright 1999 -- sheila.kaye@juno.com

No greater love hath a man,
then for a friend to die.
No greater gift did he bestow,
than his love for you and I.
He gave it all, not holding back,
and took away our sins.
By giving all, his very life,
our souls and hearts are cleansed.

He had to suffer all alone,
no friends to comfort give.
He had to face it by himself,
so you and I could live.
By suffering upon the cross,
our sins, he made amends.
By giving all, his very life,
our souls and hearts are cleansed.

He asked us to remember how,
it was he had to die.
Hanging from that dreadful cross,
between the earth and sky.
The pain he suffered for us all,
our eternal life depends.
By giving all, his very life,
our souls and hearts are cleansed.

If we'll only follow him,
if his cross we'll bear.
If we'll live our days on earth,
for a Heavenly home, prepare.
The doors of Heaven will open wide,
we'll hear our Father say,
By giving all, his very life,
your redemption has been paid.
