The Scapegoat

The scapegoat of my family,
I wonder why I was the one singled out to blame?
Maybe I try to hard to please,
Or perhaps I'm being tested for Christ's Holy name.
I suppose I should not complain,
About all the false accusations heaped upon me,
When Christ accepted everything,
As He took our blame and suffered for us shamelessly.
No one on earth is without sin.
Only Christ walked on this earth, with nothing but kindness,
So why complain when treated wrong?
But it hurts, even done ignorantly, through blindness.
If you think Christ's life was easy,
Then try stepping in my shoes and all others like me.
Such a pitiful example,
Compared to Christ's extreme suffering on Calvary.
Christ, the scapegoat for all families.
Why was He the only one singled out for the blame?
Undying love for His children,
Made Jesus, our Savior and Lord choose to take our shame!
