We've Had Good Times,
We've Had Bad

-- by James Cleek (for my wife JoAnn) -- Copyright 1997 --

Once you asked if I cared
About the life we have shared
I remember the times we've gone thru
And remember the day we said I Do

My life with you was not of force
But because I love you of course
We've had good times, we've had bad
But we're still together, I'm so glad

I can't measure my love for you
But when I'm asked, I say I do
If love were commas and I was a poet
I'd place enough in so you would know it

So remember, when things go wrong
And you're sitting upon your throne
High and mighty as you sometimes do
I'm the one that really loves you.
