There is "Magic" in this cap and gown,
That will continue through your life.
It starts you on your Christian way
And will comfort you in strife.

White is for your innocence,
God's child, conceived in love.
His peace and joy engulf you
As the blue sky does the dove.

The eyelet is for openness,
Of your mind and of your heart,
Honestly and Patrotism
Are with you from the start.

The ribbon is significant
In a very special way,
It enables you to have family ties
Each and every day.

When it is such that you are grown
Leaving childish ways behind,
You shall wear a college gown
And leave your mark in time.

When success and love for you abound
And you've children of your own,
This "magic gown" will live again
As it is handed on.
