My Little Grandson
-- by Judith V. Chase - Copyright 1998 -- hankandjudy@juno.com

I saw your picture, but was it enough.
My heart was broken by lack of your touch.

I saw you in your tiny resting place
All dressed in blue with your tiny, beautiful face.

I saw your parents and their love for you
Big brother Chase was there placing in your casket a Pooh.

Great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins too
Were there to say hi and goodbye to you.

Why do I miss you as I do?
Because I'm your grandma and my blood flowed in you.

I believe I'll see you again.
You'll know I am your MaMaw then.

I thank you for the gift to me.
All family reunited in your name, Caleb James Briley.

Your loving grandmother, Judith V. Chase
