Greeting The Day
-- by Vance Oliphant - Copyright 2000 -- vanlorol@webtv.net

When I awoke this morning to greet the day.
I thought of some things I want to say.

When we start the day...here are just a few,
Of the many things we that we should do.

Kiss a loved one and say, "I love you so,"
Even though you're sure they already

know. Throw open the curtains and let in the light;
The morning sun is such a wonderful sight.

Open wide the window and breathe the fresh air;
No need to feel down on a day so fair.

Even if clouds obscure the sun;
Don't let those clouds impede your fun.

Enjoy the flowers and the birds that sing.
The happy voices of children have a wonderful ring.

Go for a walk....hail neighbors and friends;
Take time to talk about odds and ends.

Positive thoughts and a friendly smile,
Will be sure to carry you that extra mile.

If we do these things each and every day,
Worries and problems will simply fade away.

As for this advice I've left with you.....
Give it a try....it's so easy to do.
