Have a Heart
-- by Bob (Grandpa) Tucker-- Copyright 1995

I know that I lack the flash that you seek.
I stutter and stammer whenever I speak.
You've heard I sleep with my teeth in a cup.
My snoring all night keeps the neighborhood up.

I have little chance to make your heart melt,
With this stomach that clearly hangs over my belt.
This body of mine has a wrinkle or two.
Check out my buns and you probably will boo.

My arobics classmates must help me get up,
Whenever you talk I'll soon interrupt.
Though I'm no bargain, my friends call me cheap,
There're no strings attached, I'm all yours to keep.

Just open your eyes, before you I stand.
A smile on my face, my heart in my hand.
It's little to ask. Please give me a sign.
That I have a chance to be your Valentine.
