Is It True?
-- by John T. Baker - Copyright 1999 -- JTB8817@aol.com

(To the tune of "Is It True What They Say About Dixie?")

Is it true what they say about Trixie?
Does she hold open house every day?
Do the dry martinis blossom
Inside her parlor door,
Do the portions grow so awesome
You wind up on the floor?

Is it true that her guests are obnoxious,
Ever given to smut and horseplay?
Do they tend to get lascivious
In shameful episode,
Are they seemingly oblivious
To every moral code?

Are habitues all dipsomaniacs?
Are they yearning to be led astray?
Do they yell, do they throng,
And burst out in raucous song? . . .
If it's true, that's where I belong!
