I U T D T T
-- by John T. Baker- Copyright 1999 -- JTB8817@aol.com

When I was but a little lad
My Grandpa'd say to me
Whenever I'd do something bad,
" I U T D T T."

Or when I'd pout and want my way
Wherever we might be,
He'd frown at first, then gently say,
" I U T D T T."

So nowadays where'er I go,
Whatever I may see,
I think of him and whisper low,
" I U T D T T."

For through the years and changing scenes
I've watched what people do
And learned at last what that phrase means:
" I Used To Do That Too!"
