I Wish
-- by Don Mulford - Copyright 2000 -- steldon@nbnet.nb.ca

I've never been to Timbuktu,
I've never been to Rome;
I've never been to London
And I've never been to Nome!

I wish I could see Timbuktu;
I wish I could see Rome;
But travel is expensive,
So I'll have to stay at home!

But though I can't buy airline seats;
Though I can't go to sea.
Though I can't wander very far
It matters not to me!

I'll see the sights of London;
I'll wander through Tibet.
I'll feel the thrill of far off lands.
I'll surf the Internet!

Youth is a state of the soul -
Nothing to do with age, but everything to do with attitude.
