I Would
-- by Stephen Cramer - Copyright 1999 -- stevieray451@webtv.net

If I could soar with angel's wings
across the pristine sky,
over the fields and valleys,
above the mountains high,

I would cross the distance
to hold you through the night,
I would heal your heart aches
with the peace of God's sweet light,

I would fill your heart with gladness
and take away your fear,
I would fill your soul with boundless joy
and wipe away each tear,

I would give you strength to face the trials
that sometimes come your way,
I would give you faith and hope
to face a brand new day.

It's true I'm not an angel
yet I know they are around,
they watch over us each moment
and never make a sound.

Yes I believe in angels
and I know their love is true,
for the messengers of heaven
gave me a loving friend like you...
