JOY
-- by Dawn Tucek -- Copyright 1996 stillkicking@2check.com

Joy, what is it? Happiness?
No, happiness is fleeting.
Like a dancing flame, we always
Try to catch it, but
It's fire we cannot tame.

Could it be that deep down peace
That comes from knowing God?
Or the love of friends that understand,
And through the bonds of Christian love
Reach out a helping hand?

Or, is it KNOWING God has forgiven you;
He will always be your friend.
You're secure in His accepting love, and
Suddenly you realize: Joy is seeing yourself
As He does from above, through Jesus' blood.
