Day's Gone By
-- by James Cleek -- Copyright 1997 --

As the sun slowly crosses the sky
I think about days gone by
Have I ran my life worthwhile
Always given my friends a smile

Walked the way I could be proud
Thinking my every thought out loud
If I've given nice things to each
Things I could afford, things I could reach

If they were given from the heart
This is the way giving should start
Then I would have given my all
I can be proud and stand up tall
