A great American,
In special ways.
He finally got,
His recognition day.

In God he trusted,
In man not to sure.
Especially those, who thought,
Themselves to pure.

He was a martyr,
For a very just cause.
He never swayed,
Nor would he ever pause.

His forth-rightedness,
As his speeches did scream.
So that all could hear,
"I have a dream".
