The Magician

I know a real mysterious guy, one who can please yet mystify
The average person with his magic powers to entertain.
He's never known to be the same, is often called another name,
And frequently appears in places I cannot explain.
He's philosopher and teacher, and on Sundays he's a preacher,
Yet on many a night he turns up singing at the corner bar.
Still most everyone who's met him says it's hard to just forget him,
And the accolades that greet him are received from near and far.
To describe him is real hard to do for each one has a different view
And make decisions for themselves from what they'll hear or see.
Some say he's tall, others say short, some claim he's really not their sort,
And as to style of clothes he wears, they never can agree.
But he can make you laugh or cry, or bring back memories with a sigh,
Transport you where you'd like to go (and you won't need a car).
I promise you you'll have a ball, enjoy your trip, and best of all
You will never have to dress up, you can go the way you are.
He has quite a reputation and is known in every nation,
The difference in their language doesn't bother in the least.
He merely waves his magic wand and instantly there forms a bond
Between them that insures them of a grand and glorious feast.
I think you'd like to meet him too, so I'll give an address to you
Where I'm sure you'll find him waiting just to share a little fun.
So write it down with sure aplomb, it's
And have Mary introduce you to the P.O.E.M.S. for everyone.
