A Marvelous Thing

A grandchild is a marvelous thing,
Can lift your spirit and make your heart sing.
Can lighten the nights and brighten the days
In such little, but oh, such wonderful ways.
Hugging your neck, giving a kiss;
(Things few grandparents would want to miss)
Searching for help and comfort, too,
Or, simply saying, "I wuv you".
>From the time their lives appear
They bring fond happenings, so very dear,
Which bring a smile, or perhaps a sigh,
Recalling mem'ries of days gone by.
