A Medley of Poems

God’s Day
A new day dawns and I awake,
the gift of time I’ll not forsake.
With thankful heart I rise to see,
what God has in store for me.
God’s Night
As evening dims the lights and dusk grows dimmer,
darkness pulls it’s shade waking creatures of the night.
A medley of frogs, hooting owls, bright eyes glimmer,
winking stars remind me, with God, all is right.
God’s Children
"Suffer little children to come unto me,
for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Lord, let the little child in me be kept safe,
by the faith to me you have given.
God’s Road to Heaven
The road unravels before me like a black ribbon,
stitched down the middle and edged in white.
Don’t ride on the stitching if you want to keep liv’en
God save’s only those who choose the right.
Soldiers of God
Like long lines of weathered posts staggering against,
the elements, held together by strands of barbed wire,
brave soldiers of God face the battlefront,
determined to stand against the foe; held together,
by strands of faith nailed to the wooden cross.
