The Great Mister
-- by Steve Topping -- Copyright 1997 -- topwheel@softcom.net

Mother of Angels, Why Are You Here?
Smile, Mother of Angels and I Will Know
It Is Because My Time Is near
And You Came to Prepare Me So I Can Go
With You on a Journey to the after Glow

No, Future Angel, Not Just Yet as You Will See
Take My Hand in Yours and Come with Me
Down this Star Lighted Path, Lined with Silver and Gold
And See Mom and Dad and a Few Dear Friends of Old

See That Someone Holding on to the Hand of Your Sister?
That Someone Is a Person You Know: 'The Great Mister"
Let Us Sing "Peace in the Valley" as We Walk Hand in Hand
And Later, We Can Sit and Talk about this Here Land

You Can Tell Me about the Things You Have Done
And How Happy You Will Be When the Race Is Won
Is That Mom and Dad Smiling and Waving at Me?
And Is That Sister Too Trying to See

If I Am Her Brother and Maybe Here to Stay
For All Time, to Be with Her and Never Go Away?
Oh What a Wonderful Feeling I Have Inside Me as I Look
At the Beautiful Flowers like in a Childrens Book

May I Stay Now, Mother of Angels, and Never Go Back
To Be with Mom Dad and Sister and Never Know Lack?
No, Not Just Yet, for as to Your Life That You Know
There Are People There That Don't Want to Let You Go

So Give Them All Your Love and Show Them the Way
To Be Remembered and Loved for There Will Come a Day
When You Will Have to Wave Goodbye and Live
In Their Memories Forever So Be Sure What You Give

Is Smiles, Laughs, and Always a Helping Hand
To Everyone in this Here Land
