Mom's Advice
-- by Linda LaRae Adsitt - Copyright 1998 -- trout@telelvar.com

The years go by and the children they grow,
A mom washes faces, and has hair to mow.
Then all of a sudden, there off on there own,
She's left with ole Pard, a dog and his bone.

Yes, Opinion's are best kept under my hat,
Cause now is their turn, to step up to the bat.
But if I could give, just one wee little tip,
To learn from the old, Just one little bit.

I'd solemnly say to this clan of mine,
Just do as Mom says and you're going to do fine.
I'm trying my best not to give you advice,
Don't let plans go with the roll of the dice.

Learn from your mom of a terrible mistake,
Now listen well and I'll get you a break.
It 's not my intention to interfere or to but,
When cleaning the toilet Just keep your mouth shut.
