Mother
-- by Claude H. Roberts -- Copyright 1996 -- grampe@ptialaska.net

My mother is the best, as you will see,
She raised a whole bunch,
Not just two or three.

First there was Judy, then came me,
Then came Charles, that makes three.
Then Steve, then Betsy, that's three after me.

Mother would work all day,
Mother would work all night,
Mother would say, "Is there an end in sight?"

But if anyone hurt their knee,
Or wondered what came after the number three,
She was always there first to look after we.

Well, we are all grown up now and as proud as can be,
To have a great mother,
She is the best there could be.
