A Mother's Love
-- by Carol Deeds - Copyright 1999 -- cdeeds@bellatlantic.net

So warm, so caring
With arms outstretched
To volunteer a warm embrace.

Who listens and understands
Every word you say.

Who teaches and molds
You into the person
She hopes you can be.

Who prays for all your
Dreams and wishes
To come true.

And when you are sick
She rushes to your side
With whatever you may need.

To help you over come
All your fears and doubts.
To lift you up
went you are down.

She gives you
Hugs and Kisses
To let you know
You are loved.

She's up early in the morning
To wash and press your clothes
To make sure you
Look just right.

She cooks a warm meal
to make sure you are
Nourished and sends you
On your way.

She's there to greet you
When you come through
The door from your
full day out.

She's comes to make sure
You are tucked in tight
And to wish you
Sweet dreams through
The night.

When her day is over
And she knows you are safe

She kneels down and prays
To God for her greatest gift.

Which is YOU!
