A Conversation With My Car
-- by Bernard Gluck -- Copyright 1997 -- bgluck@earthlink.net

I had to wash my car today
Out on the driveway walk
And when I placed it there that way
We had a little talk

She told me things that she does miss
In fact she did complain
For me to be relating this
I think that I'm insane.

She said, "You don't spend time with me
Except just now today.
Instead you're writing poetry
To send to Mary Kay

Although you've only seen her face
Just once that I can see
And that was there at Bubba's Place
You like her more than me!"

What can I do? I can't replace
A car that's good for me
And every day I have to face
A car with jealousy.
